Design Engineering Practice Areas
Data Collection & Validation
Data Collection & Validation - collect and review network requirements
and all necessary background information. These requirements include specific
service requirements, network environment, and performance requirements
as well as any business or market objectives.
Modeling & Analysis
Modeling and Analysis - using sophisticated algorithms, specialized or
proprietary tools, and equipment engineering rules, model various network
scenarios (traffic demands, network architecture, design parameters) based
on requirements. Harmonix Design engineers will analyze and interpret
the modeling results to assess alternative options and aid in the development
of the final Network Design. This includes the quantification of each
alternative’s impact on cost, revenue, and new services time-to-market.
Perform focused technology assessments to help customers evaluate alternative
products and configurations.
Network Design & Engineering
Network Design & Engineering - develop end-to-end network design
plans to meet the specific network objectives and constraints. Detailed
network planning and engineering activities are performed based on the
results of the modeling process. The design process also addresses redundancy
and security issues to maximize the network’s ability to survive
failures and disasters. The result of this activity will be a baseline
network design recommendation and multiple pieces of documentation that
fully support the network design.
Documentation Creation
Documentation Creation - develop a Network Planner’s Record (NPR)
that contains the documented results of the Network Planning & Design
effort. Harmonix Engineers will provide a detailed Visio and network topology
maps.
